Who We Are

The mission of the Orange County League of Conservation Voters (OCLCV) is to promote environmental protection by supporting the election of environmentally responsible candidates to local elective office in Orange County.
Orange County League of Conservation Voters (OCLCV) seeks to promote environmental protection through proactive participation in the Orange County political system and democratic process, while working to enhance the integrity of that political system for all County residents.
We promote conservation and protection of natural resources, as well as good government issues and political reforms.
The primary means for achieving these goals are:
  • Interviewing, endorsing, supporting and helping to elect candidates for local public office who will protect Orange County’s unique natural resources and promote a healthy environment
  • Supporting legislation and candidates that promote OCLCV’s mission
  • Lobbying public officials on behalf of environmentally protective legislation
  • Campaigning for environmentally responsible candidates
  • Supporting and promoting ballot measures that will protect the environment
  • Raising awareness of environmental issues among the general public
  • Connecting with local Orange County environmental non-profit organizations to support their efforts
